Only had the car a few days, programmed the radio stations in but no logos are being displayed, just black boxes. What am I missing?
-
If it's still the same process as the mk7, you would need to acquire the logos, load them onto a usb drive and manually associate them with each station in the radio menu.
-
Yup, its not automatic...
-
Yep you can download a list off of Volkswagen site or download them yourself from images and load them on, its a bit crap but good when done

I’ve got a 2020 Polo GTI+. Some of the station logos were present when I picked up my car - the BBC radio stations (maybe the dealer had loaded them into my infotainment unit), but I had to download the ones for the non-BBC stations that I listen to.

Thanks for the info , A job for tomorrow

Some radio stations broadcast the logo data so national stations should mostly be ok. Local stations are a bit iffy.
-
Finally worked this out (with a bit of help from my lad) and downloaded the logos.
They work fine on the pre-set list/line of tiles, but when I enlarge the logo so it appears on the right hand side of the display, with the track info on the left, the logo is a dark grey square with DAB in it.
The BBC logos which were ‘pre loaded’ are ok in both views.
Has anyone got a solution or advise what I’m doing wrong?
-
Ok I have an early MK7 and none of the stations show logos. But I didn't know its was possible to install them yourself  That essentially means I can add whatever picture I like to each station. So many possibilities so little time
-
I had something similar what I first started playing with the logos..
Try setting the logos as 160 x 120 pixels and saved as .png, this is how the official VW ones come as in their download file.

Thanks for that, will give it a go.

Rudedog,
Worked spot on,thanks for that.

Update on the large logo saga.
After initial success downloading the logos and checking they all worked in station info/large logo view,I removed the SD card and locked up.
The following morning, they were all still there, but could not be displayed in station info/large logo view.
I have since tried deleting and reloading, looked at loads of different forums for info without success.
However,i downloaded ‘Virgin’ and ‘6 music’ logos and these work fine in both views.I think
Mcmaddys earlier post on national stations transmitting logo data is right.
The stations that I’m having trouble with are:-
Absolute 80s,Absolute classic rock,Heart 80s,Planet Rock and Smooth UK.
When they displayed initially, the resolution was poor in large logo, where as the BBC and Virgin logos were fine.
