Recently bought a new to me 2016 Mk7 Performance Pack with a very low mileage (4000 miles). I took it out for its first drive and noticed a rattling/knocking noise from the front when turning at a 20 degree angle at less than 10mph. Lucky the repair is covered under warranty so I won’t be out of pocket but I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem before?

Yeah I am having this issue too! I have a mk7 GTD 2014 and it has been making this noise for the last 6 months or so. It's going in for it's service in two weeks so I've asked them to look at it. Having done a google search it would appears it's something to do with the front suspension and requires lubricating. I came on the forum today to search for this issue specifically so a coincidence you posted recently about this issue too!

Could be a worn or damaged CV joint.
If the rubber CV boot has split allowing dirt to enter and the grease packed inside the boot around the joint to escape, then the joint can wear. If this happens, a tell tale sign is a loud clicking noise when turning, which would be more noticeable at slow speeds.
