Title: mk 5 golf gti HELP saying ecu fault

Hey all so ive got a mk 5 golf gti had it for about 4 years no problems then about 3 days ago it wouldnt start fuel pump making a thumping noise air con fans on and the epc and engine lights flash randomly so i got it plugged in and the reader said ecu fault but it doesnt do it all the time just when u need the car!!! has anyone else had the same problem maybe any info would be great thanks Darren

Might be worth ruling out a duff battery if you haven't already? That's sometimes the cause of lots of weird and seemingly unrelated faults.
