Hi All,
We'll after 14 months the VW stock cable (usb - type c) has it appears given up the ghost! Bit frustrating really as right in the middle of holiday doing lots of miles and relying on google maps (stock nav utter s***) and also my music playlists! Just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a replacement cable or shall I get VW to replace free of charge...? I quite like the VW version as it's shorter than the standard charging cable that comes with the phone , I've seen a few on Amazon (anker ...etc) but wondering if anyone had any feedback with a volkswagen on these? Mine is a newish phone and has the new type c usb phone connection which has been stock on most of my last few Sony phones, Samsung also seem toe switching to it also as have a couple of their tablets.

VW won't replace it free of charge so you may aswell buy your own. Just out of interest why do you say the stock nav is poor? Is yours fully up to date? I've never had any issues using the nav in any of my VWs.

Bit late I know but try cleaning out the port on the phone.

Cables seem to crap out on me all of the time since I bought my S10.
Its definitely the cable too, I've been going through them about every 2 months.
The only one thats lasted was the Samsung one the phone came with - and the other ones weren't cheap ebay ones either!

I use a Anker PowerLine+ II Cable (30cm shorty version). You can get them for Android and Apple.
15k miles in, and it's still as new.
