Title: Collected my mk7.5 last week

Evening All.
I've just joined up, so go easy! :tongue:
I've been a long time Golf GTI fan; having owned a mk2 big bumper 8V in Tornado Red, mk3 8V in Dragon Green and a mk4 V5.
I've been on the lookout for a year or so for a replacement for the V5 and finally found what I was looking for; an Indium Grey Metallic mk7.5, 3 door manual gearbox. The big ticks in the boxes are the Art Velours and the Brescias. To say I'm thrilled is an understatement!

I've been trolling around the mk7 boards; looking to see what others are up to with mods and tweaks.
Getting a nice long list put together already..... :cool:

You may prefer not to know, but here goes anyway.

The first batch of UK Mk7.5's launched in 2017 came without front fog lights. Big long thread about it here;-

TBH, for what it's worth, mine has them. I can't remember the last time I used them. Or even if I ever have  :undecided:

I had fogs on the mk4 and never used them so it's no big deal

That's the spirit  :smiley:

Mk7.5 LED headlights are pretty good without fogs, the R doesn't have them either. So absolutely not the end of the world.

I drove it in the dark for the first time on Sunday; the headlamps are a million times better that those dim, candle powered units on the 4.
I wonder if I'd even have noticed they weren't there.....I can believe they weren't fitted in the factory- a right fuc* up!!
