Title: Latest SatNav Software

Hi All,
I've finished waxing my new acquisition, 2019 Idium grey, manual, GTi and now looking for something else, as well as driving it of course!

My sat nav is showing current software details of: Software: 0891. Nav Database: 3GO919866BC.
0820. ECE1 2017/18.

I see on the VW web site they have version: DiscoverMedia2_EU_AS_1430_V12.7z
Is this a newer version than the one I am currently using please? Also do I need to unzip that software before putting it on a memory card or will the car system unzip it please?

See free and easy map updates (usually) thread, on the second page of Mk 7,  most Issues have been explored - posts from McMaddy I think should help you.

First of all excellent choice, we bought a 2019 indium grey, manual GTI recently.

Mine was running Europe 1 (v8) SD card, ECE1 2018 version

I managed to fit the European countries bundle 1 on the factory SD card, so now it is version ECE AS 20/21.

Thanks guys for the pointer. All now updated, although it would only read the update on the original sd card and not another sd card that I had.

If you don't have navpro, then it has to be on a genuine VW card (well, a card with the magic code on it anyway)
