Was thinking of changing the rear diffuser on my Mk 7.5 GTI & have trawled the net looking for options. So far the main options seem to be either a maxton design onw, but this is only an insert for the current diffuser fitted (not especially keen on this) or else a TCR diffuser, which like some on here have said in other posts would look very aggressive with the other TCR parts (i agree) I'm not looking for something as visually aggressive as the TCR variant, just want to improve the rear end a touch. Something like the Reiger one would be ideal but they don't ship outside Germany and from what I have read the clubsport one won't fit  has anyone seen any other options (reasonably priced)

Looks like it's Mk7, which won't fit the 7.5 (I don't believe) due to the spacing of the pipes

Sent them email today & it seems this would fit 2019 mk7.5 but no shipping to Ireland 😒

The TCR diffuser is a bit OTT.
Even though it wouldn’t fit, the Clubsport diffuser is a bit too plain.
The Maxton is probably the best middle ground to be honest IMO.

That page literally says "excluding facelift"!

I have the genuine Akra one which think isn't overly aggressive but isn't cheap.

My son has the TCR diffuser on his White silver 7.5 and without the extra stick on black bits it looks OK, he paid £282 delivered from Kunzmann, took about an hour to fit.

I'm aware of what the page states... But just telling what they replied when I got in contact with them.

It’ll be interesting to see how you get on with this as from what I can see, the 7 and 7.5 Lower bumpers are completely different profiles...

Ya hopefully will have it by the end of this week.. Like u said email direct from rieger to say it will fit & got local stockist to email his rep also who started that it will so time will tell. Either way stockist will stand over it if it doesn't so.. No loss either way.

Diffuser has arrived &looks a perfect fit to replace the standard version. The car is currently infor paint correction & modesta ceramic coating so dropped In & took the standard diffuser off. Was a bit of a messy job but once off it looks like all the connection points on the rieger model line up perfectly so once the car is done I’ll put it on & update with pics.

Diffuser fitted today & new one was easier to fit than original was to remove  these pictures don’t do it justice, it looks amazing. Car is still not finished so it’s still up on a lift in the pics..

Looks good.
It looks as if the dealer had more than one attempt at fitting the rear number plate to your car when it was new as you’ve got a bonus screw hole on the left hand side .

Very impressed with it for the cost, and the fact that it’s a direct Swap for the original without having to drill extra holes etc is perfect.

Looks really good N41ll
I’ve never liked the TCR diffuser so might order one of these myself at some point if the black bumper sections still fit with it, it’s not often an aftermarket part is more subtle than VW OEM!!

Ya was really on the fence about the TCR version, in some pics it looks nice & others it looks too flared for my liking, especially around the corners. IMO this one was the perfect compromise & gives the back end more presence without being ott. The black gloss finish looks amazing. I have zero experience removing car parts & while taking the original diffuser was a slow job fitting the rieger one was a breeze.

Is it easy enough to get off in one piece should it ever need to go back on? And the new Rieger one defo needs no other attachments, uses existing mounts?

Very easy to take off... I know this cos it comes with a mounting bracket that attached to bolt holes where original mounted which I initially fitted backwards🥴 & had to remove diffuser cos the holes didn't line up. Once fired the correct way it went straight on. Very easy job to fit but the original is a bit fiddly to get off due to the plastic tabs being a bit stiff.
Overall you'll need someone to help, a car lift makes it much easier also, a hex/star socket wrench and from start to finish it takes less than an hour. Yes it uses existing points/holes to mount. & a couple of extra points to attach to the supplied bracket which are pre drilled when it arrives so you just have to fit the screws.

Nice one, cheers for the info, appreciated :-)
