Is it possible to use AliExpress mirrors on a RHD AUDM/UKDM car? I've read on some forums that it is possible and some it is not possible.
My concerns are the interior switch and passenger dip when in reverse. The passenger dip in reverse is very useful when parking and I do not think I can live without this feature. I also want to use my original glass in the AliExpress mirrors which i think is possible reading on vwvortex and Facebook. My car does not have the Driver Assistance Package.
I am looking at a combination of these two below items for my AUDM MY16 GTI. Can anyone comment or give some insight?

I can’t give you an answer to your question i’m afraid,but i’m looking into a dynaudio retrofit using a full kit from Aliexpress.
First thing,check for import duty/vat on what you buy.
I put a post on here recently regarding Aliexpress-whether the items for sale were ‘genuine oem’.
There was mixed views on the subject,I was and still am sceptical,but the seller I spoke to answered questions and provided more photos for me to study-they appear to be genuine.
Vw has a massive presence in China producing cars and parts,so why wouldn’t genuine parts filter through to the Chinese equivalent of EBay like over here?
Then again,you might not be bothered about OEM,so it’s not a problem.

i am not sure if it would be possible to fit these or not but have you had a look on ebay, i damaged both mirrors last year and was quoted £450 to £500 per mirror and £200 for fitting them both from the stealer, i ended up getting 2 from a breakers yard from ebay for £300 and fitted them myself.
also have a look at this website their prices are fairly reasonable but most people on here would recommend OEM but i wouldn't have an issue fitting them.
