I’m presuming, like a number of forums, the classifieds section “unlocks” after a given post count. I just can’t seem to find anything about it anywhere, I’m probably looking in the wrong place

Nope, none of that here. Just in each mark section, eg http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?board=127.0
