Title: Washer fluid leak
Post by: wantmygti on 11 March 2020, 13:32
Filled up the windscreen washer reservoir last night after the car notified me that it was empty just to watch the whole lot piss out across the floor.

Can’t really see where it is coming from due to the undertray, just wondered if there is a common issue or best way to get access?

I’m guessing (after 3k miles) that a hose has popped off but could be a crack to the reservoir...??

Any further thoughts??

Thanks

im guessing with only 3k miles on the clock its a new car and still under warranty. Get it to the stealers for them to sort it. Not worth the hassle going at if yourself on the driveway to identify the leak, you'll still have to bring it there to be fixed. As long as thats the only leak its hardly critical so go get it looked at when it suits you. Just my 2c

Yeah the service is coming up at the end of the month so a dealer fix is an option. But part of me doesn’t want to give in that easily!

Almost 3 year old Clubsport (June 2017?) and 3000 miles on the clock?

My mother's best silver cutlery set has seen more action ;-)

I'm surprised you even need to fill the windscreen washer bottle after 3000 miles

To be honest I was wondering last night how much of the fluid was original!

I bought it because I wanted it, it was never a question of need!

I'd be more worried about my money p1ssing on the floor than the contents of the water bottle
