Title: Album art on bluetooth ?
Post by: Sootchucker on 05 February 2020, 07:58
HI guys, sorry if this question has been asked before. I usually listen to my music via Android auto in the car, but I've been having issues with the cable and have decided there must be a break in it. So I've ordered a new cable, but whilst I wait for that to arrive, I've been using my Spotify beamed over instead via bluetooth, which I've never used before.

To be honest it works better than I thought (connects almost straight away) and displays all the album, artist and track data, but it doesn't display any album artwork (even though they appear on the phone). Is there a setting I need to switch on or is this just a limitation of using VW bluetooth ?

Don't think it has the capability within Bluetooth if I remember correctly for either on the infotainment screen or dashboard.
Mine sometimes connects via bluetooth when I haven't got the App open and sometimes I have to open the App.
Maybe my phone settings.
Peeved off with cables, Android auto & dodgy charging ports on my 18 month old S9+.
Anyone recommend a decent cable, & yes I usually buy decent ones
