Hi everyone,
I wonder if someone can help me I'm in the process of selling my 18 plate Golf R. I was checking the books and realized there is no service book I queried it with the VW dealer I bought it from and they confirmed it's now digital.
Can anyone tell me how I get a print out for a prospective buyer please I can get a really basic history on the phone app. The dealer said you just log on but a Google yields nothing. The VW site doesn't help either.
Thanks in advance

Ask the dealer to print a copy off

Isn’t it on the my vw app?
-
Surely you have the receipts from when it's been serviced?
-
Sounds like the OP had received the usual level of dealer nonsense.
Explained here:

Isn’t it on the my vw app?
All the app says it's been serviced with very limited information.

Ask the dealer to PDF and email a copy to you. The buyer is also able to request this from any VW dealership as no personal information is attached to the record, it follows the car.

Hi everyone,
thanks for the replies.
Too be honest the dealer is an absolute nightmare. I called them on the Friday and they told me I had to pop in to get some sort of code. Drove 15 miles to them on Saturday morning to be told no you just logon to site.
I have emailed VW direct, the dealer was utterly useless I bought the car and noticed all the books were missing took me a month to get replacements, they are even on the VW checklist for their used cars.
I will email them and get copies of the servicing, I wont hold my breath.
thanks again

I've just had my second service at Bath VW, I received a print out with my bill which showed the first and second service on it. The dealer should be able to print it off for you. :undecided:

Hi,
interesting just got off the phone from VW who didn't help much they don't hold the information. Which goes against the website info.
Spoke to dealer and if I take my V5 in they will print the service history off so that sounds like a result.
Thanks again all

I knew about this when I bought mine so asked for a service book.
Full booklet duly arrived.
Dealer has no problem stamping it up either.

Yes the online info is utterly useless. Mine lists 3 events repair event , warranty event and service event. With dates nothing about service level etc.
It's curious though I bought it with 7k on the clock so it should have had a service / oil change prior to me buying it at 15 months old that's not shown. I will pop into tomorrow and get the print outs.
