Title: MK7 Audio
Post by: jenkiam on 17 January 2020, 14:27
Does anyone know what the standard audio option was on a 2016 Golf would have been called please? Also do you think its has any resale value, as I replaced my standard DAB radio/CD with an Alpine option ages ago & have the old bits sitting in a box in the attic gathering dust!

Cheers

2016 would have been a MIB2. Not sure how much it's worth to sell on the brains of it, since they're coded to the car (I believe), but the screen might sell on Ebay.

If its the one that doesn't have nav, then its called Composition Media.

2016 could be the MIB2 version, maybe.

Assuming it's a GTi then it'll be a Discover Nav. If it doesn't have built-in sat nav then as Fred says, it'll be a Composition Media.

Both units are very similar visually.
