If you mean to get CarPlay... the Mk7.5 doesn't support wireless carplay, you need to plug it in.

Does that mean if I was to get the voice control installed by my main stealer that it still won't support wireless carplay? you may have just saved me some time and money if not, thanks!

Correct. Wireless carplay (and Android Auto) is not and will not be supported on a M7.x

thanks you've just saved me £200.... mind you I had held off because I wasn't sure it was worth the outlay to save me plugging in a USB! :smug:

I find Bluetooth better than CarPlay anyhow, 2 phones, audio and you have the album art in the AID

You do realise you don’t need the voice control option in order for CarPlay voice control to work? Voice control (the £200 option) is only for the built-in system. A long press on the voice button will activate voice control prompts for Siri/CarPlay.

So what do you gain for 200 Euros with the wireless? The nice thing about the cable connection is that you arrive at your destination with your phone charged.

Have to say having had wireless car play I do miss it. For me it’s way more convenient for the short hop journeys and of course you still have the option to plug it in for the longer ones.

That adapter looks quite interesting!

It only really comes into its own with wireless charging combined, but for that convenience you are talking a big pile of money.
