Nice 1 Jason, I am glad to hear that it’s still putting a smile on your face. I must admit I get itchy feet around 2 1/2 years of ownership none of my last 3 cars have made it to 3 years old

Same for me, changed every 3 years last 18 years, but can definitely see me keeping latest long term as for the type of car that look for I cannot think of anything more that would wish for/need.

Mines three next month and it's the longest I've had a car in recent times. I'm currently looking at a Leon Cupra R ST as a replacement though

Could do with a bigger boot to be honest and I quite like the look of the Leon over a Golf estate.

I think this relates to the colour I love and the options .I don't need anymore PeP and as im in a small local community and have to keep the gas down much as one can in a GTI every time it seems I use it locally my neighbours are on their push bikes or there is a horse rider about it seems

Mileagewise I have a Citroen C1  for commute / do not care car

I always admire people that are disciplined enough to keep a car longer term.
I tend to change in smaller hops as that has worked for me in affordability (but costs more long term).
Still, five white mk7’s since 2013 is almost like keeping one car!

Also it’s really good to read that your GTI has been so trouble free Jason. :afro:

Didn't realise yours had all been white?! I'd have seriously wanted a change by now!

Why change a winning formula?!

The 2013 GTI was ordered as a white 3 door as the launch adverts used that colour and spec and I’ll assume the advertising people know a thing or two about those things. I loved the look of that car.

The others it was more fate than choice.
The mk7 looks really good in white to my eyes so been perfectly happy with that shade. No regrets and keeps that direct lineage making comparisons easy.
I’d really wanted a grey TCR but it’s just how things panned out.
