What snow foam lance do you recommend and which snow foam do you use.

This is the lance I bought. Cheap but has brass fittings and has been perfect over the past 3 years.
As far as foam goes, I’ve used a few but am currently using Autoglym Polar Foam which is very good.

I use TFR (traffic film remover) as it actually works, softens and disperses the traffic film/dirt.

As for applying it. I use one of these https://ebay.us/sqwK5M as getting the jet washer out and connected is a PITA.
1/3rd TFR to 2/3rds water.
Hand wash thereafter is, optional.

Looks great - I need a new one, and I was about to hit buy then I noticed this is for "new type" Nilfisk. My Nilfisk is a C120, which I'm assuming this isn't for?!?

Hi mate, I'm running one of these on my Nilfisk, you just pick the fitment you need
https://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/cyc-snow-foam-lance
It gives really good foam with loads of setting options.
As for snow foam itself I'd not look past Bilt Hamber Auto Foam. Comprehensive snow foam review where this was the winner. I'd recommending fast forwarding to the end to get to the results unless you want to get really techie on it.

It doesn't turn pink and go mega foamy but it really shifts the crud off the car.
The guy in the video is really good with his reviews and hints and tips - well worth following.
Hope this helps and happy washing!

Mines the C130.2 and it fits ok. Not sure if that’s helpful.

Bilt hamber auto foam ....
best value for money
great results .....

This is the one I use. it's Pro Clean, as for the Snowfoam look for a PH Neutral one as that will not strip any of your paint protection.

Bilt Hamber, Bilt Hamber, Bilt Hamber...… I've tried pretty much everything else and for me nothing touches this stuff. Also I wouldn't cheap out too much on a foam cannon or you'll end up with 4 spare bottles like I have because the actual cannons are useless!!
If you are looking to have a spray bottle with something to boost cleaning power as well check out Koch Chemie Green star, that stuff is amazing and about 5-6 quid a bottle!!!

Agreed, BH Autofoam is excellent.
SN lances are mostly very similar, worth getting something decent though.

You should be aware that a lot of TFRs can strip any protection that your car as it was actually developed to be used on lorries. Obviously not ceramic coats but any wax etc could be removed using these products. Much safer to opt for a paint friendly snow foam.

I would suggest BH Autofoam with a MTM hydro lance. Cleans perfectly and foams very thickly.

I bought my foam lance from Autobrite Direct several years ago - well made, brass construction, feels like it will last forever.
I think that it came with some of their snow foam as part of a deal, and I've since used Ultimate Finish snow foam, and at some point they sent me a 5-litre container of it FOC: https://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/snow-foam/ultimate-snow-foam-5-litres.aspx
It was pretty good, as I recall. I'm now working my way through some Valet Pro, which is probably on a par with the UF foam and, because I've switched to using Gyeon shampoo and Quick Detailer, I recently ordered some Gyeon snow foam, which I haven't used yet.

I also have the Autobrite Direct snow foam lance - bought 3-4 years ago and I agree, it is very well made.
I live in a hard water area, and have had to dismantle the lance a couple of times and give it a thorough clean, as the wire gauze filter had become clogged and the lance didn’t foam as it should (I always rinse it through thoroughly after use). After a thorough clean, performance was back to normal. I need to get some replacement wire gauze filters so if it be ones clogged again, I can just pop in a new filter next time.
Currently using Valet Pro ph neutral snow foam (bought for me) which seems to do an OK job. I don’t let my car get really filthy dirty before washing it, so haven’t really tested VP snow foam on really dirty car, but it seems OK for the prewash stage with the amount of dirt I’m dealing with.
-
I use BH Autofoam, in a pump up garden sprayer
After reading on DW that it works just as well without foaming, I thought I'd give it a go after my last pressure washer retired itself. Won't bother going back to a lance as the garden sprayer works well and is quite economical too. The only thing I have had to do is mist the car on hot days if the Autofoam starts to dry.

Can anyone tell me where’s the best place to get the bilt hamber stuff. Do you order direct from them ?
-
Here - https://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/bilt-hamber and a quick google or a peek in the detailing section normally produces a discount code.

Many thanks

No idea how this thread hasn't been moved to the detailing section!
