Title: Has anyone else got the Racingline suspension kit and finding it quite firm?
Post by: daveybrown1991 on 26 October 2019, 15:45
I'm running the Racingline suspension kit (springs and dampers) and I'm finding it quite firm. Was just wondering if anyone else had the same and was able to compare it with a kit they've used previously on another car?
I'm wondering if I should have gone for Bilstein B12 pro or something similar.

I have been running the kit for about 18 months, I keep thinking about changing the shocks to B8's as I find the Racingline ones bottom out a fair amount.

I've run B8's on other cars and they were firm but damped every undulation without bottoming out. When pressing on the kit works well but I find the dampening doesn't live up to what I expected.

I've been quoted about a K to change the shocks... not far off B14 money  :undecided:

I find exactly the same, I've had them on about 12 months too. They seem to respond well on corners but like you say they dont handle the uneven road surfaces that well at normal speeds, giving the impression of being really firm. I'm tied with what to do next, if you change let me know how you get on. Would you just keep the springs and change dampers?

I’ve uprated the standard suspension and am finding it a bit firm.. this must be classic thread of 2019!

I don't find them firm, I'm saying the shocks are too soft for the springs. I'll be looking at changing in the new year at some point. When I'm feeling flush
