Title: Parcel Shelf Fit

Random question, but I have noticed that the front centre of my parcel shelf catch's on a rubber part of the hatch when its shut.  Is this normal?

It looks to be leaving not so much a dent, but a mark.  I am guessing it does this to stop it rating up and down maybe?

I noticed the same on my car, and think it's normal.
