Was randomly looking around and found that it seems some car remotes come with a 'panic' button?
Seems like quite a good idea if someone was tampering with your car outside the house, could just force the alarm to go off.

Always thought these seemed a bit pointless, think Volvos have one on the key. Perhaps used only if someone came up to your car whilst you are getting in or out. Or maybe if you stay up all night watching your car at the window it might be of use....

Get an air horn, blast it out of the window :D
The remote horn sounder is more for finding it in a car park I thought and I don't think the Mk7 has that.

If you download the VW We Connect app you can set the horn and hazards off through there.

Being the kind of person who likes to explore things, I found out at 11 at night my sons e-pace has this facility!!!!
I couldn't get the bloody thing to silence
It can certainly be useful in the right circumstances.

Sadly this function is only available in US and Canadian markets. The key has an extra panic button....

It would be handy to have, I had it on my old car and used it to scare off my neighbour’s cat when it sat on the warm bonnet in the Winter.

There is a delay setting in the central electronics module for panic alarm, I wonder if it’s just a different key
