Hi All,

I have recently purchased a 2013 Mk7 GTI in night blue, and in the last week or 2 of driving I can say I absolutely love it! I have come from a diesel Saab 93 wagon, so it is very nice to have a much quieter petrol to be driving around in. The extras I Believe it has are heated leather vienna seats, ACC and front and rear parking sensors but happy to be corrected.

I've already got a list of things that I am looking to buy for it. These include a new fender badge for the passenger side, as the read has begun to peel, a set of winter wheels and tyres seeing as I am commuting through depths of Scotland, mud flaps, GTI carpets if I can find any, I can't seem to source anything (the carpets  in the car look to be quite cheap) and possibly a rubber boot liner as I will be transporting my mountain bike in the back.

If anyone has any suggestions on the above, or any other recommended upgrade it would be great to here them.

Cheers

Hi and welcome to the forum

The front and rear sensors are standard fit on GTi's. When you say ACC, that's adaptive cruise control and its always been standard with the exception of a few very early demo's and press cars. However what we now know as DCC (Dynamic Chassis Control) was originally known as ACC (Active Chassis Control) when it was first available.

There's a whole long thread here about winter tyres;-

But i'm sure you'll find others if you use the forum search function. It gets discussed every winter

Hi OP, good to hear you are enjoying your GTI, Night Blue is a classy colour imho. Standard GTI mats are just Golf mats, if you want something with GTI on them you'll either have to go aftermarket or for oem the Edition 40/Clubsport look good but at a price. Alternatively just get a nice set with red trim, that looks good. I'd also suggest changing the footwell lights from white to red to tie in with the door and sill LEDs. An Audi 12v socket plug is a big improvement on the VW one for about a fiver. All little tweaks but add up to make an already great environment just that bit better

Welcome and glad to hear you're enjoying your new car :)
One thing which is bit of a more expensive mod, but makes a fantastic difference, (imho) is a dtuk pedal box. It makes the car more responsive to like for like throttle inputs. It can also be tweaked to suit your personal preference.
Good luck with the car !
