Looking at new tyres and I'm stuck between Uniroyal Rainsport 3 and Michelin Pilot Sport 4.
-
I had ps4’s Fitted last week for £166 a pair.
Impressed with the lack of losing traction and good rim protection.

Evo October 2019?? Are you sure. No way pirelli are the best tyres for a golf GTi.
-
I got these from ATS and was very happy with the service.

ATS
£25 off plus 10% off at the moment. Bargain!

Good luck with ATS if they are fitting... Make sure that you take photos of your alloys before you start with them...
-
PS4’s definitely. I’m running them on my 3er with 440hp and 295 rears and they stick like no others I’ve run.

Is correct, I have the magazine. Interesting that Goodyear Asymmetric 5's are way down the pecking order

I was worried some 17 yr old kid would be fitting them and did take photos. Turned out the garage was staffed by older guys and turned out fine.
I guess every garage is different. There might even be a kwikfit garage out there with a skillful and knowledgable mechanic!

They must've improved the Pirellis since mine as I've found the Michelins to be much better.

Michelin PS4 £332 for 4 fitted next Tues

They haven't lol. Michelin still better from all those that I know that enjoy spirited driving.

I wouldn't say that I've a mate working out of kwikfit and he's forgotten more about cars than most know

I ended up getting a puncture repaired at Kwik Fit. It was a bit of a leap of faith, but to be fair to them I needn't have worried. Wheel handed back in same condition I gave it to them in. Dirty but no scratches.

It's like any garage even main dealers if it's a muppet working on your car mistakes happen
