Title: MK 2 Driver Paint Code

Recently purchased a Golf Driver 1990 and iam trying to find the paint code, according to the handbook its a sticker in the rear boot somewhere cannot find it, i need to buy a touch up stick for stone chips, the colour is light metalic blue.
Anyone know the colour code??.

Post by: Bazzer on 13 October 2005, 10:05: There's a sticker in the inside front cover normally. It's in my service book not the manual - maybe that's just me though! Also, the sticker in the boot will be identical. It's located on the back of the rear panel (where the VW bage is in the middle) so if you put your head IN the boot and try to look at your shoes you'll see it.... Paint code is generally a 3 or 4 digit numbers and letters thing.

Post by: Rhyso on 13 October 2005, 10:25: strange then.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â The sticker in the boot should be under the carpet and next to the spare wheel well. If its not there it could suggest that the car has been in a rear end shunt at some point in its life.

I've got a sticker in my book listing the engine code, paint code, chassis number etc etc.

You got any pics you can post up?? That way people might be able to have a guess at your colour!Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â :smiley:

Will take some pictures later and try and get the colour from that.
