Hello,
I have an intermittent issue on my 63 plate GTD DSG.
When setting off it occasionally flashes up Front assist, Acc not available then Gearbox fault and will jump into neutral. If I put back to neutral and back to drive it’s fine and no issues remain.
If I press the start stop button or park brake button it says there is an error with these functions also.
This has only once bought up an engine management light making it hard to diagnose.
The error was Gearshift position sensor fault- Does anyone know if this is on the gear shift or in the gearbox?
Maybe someone else has experienced this, I’ve read some horror stories on the mechatronics units....but this happens once when setting off and it can be fine for 100’s of miles.
