Title: Wing Mirror puddle lights
Post by: PhilMill on 02 July 2019, 20:36
Hi all, so my new car has puddle lights in the underside of the mirrors but they don't seem to work. Is it a case of they are fitted to all cars and just not wired in or do I have to turn them on somewhere?

Thanks, Phil

Have you checked them at night? They *might* be linked to the light sensor.

Are your coming home / leaving home lights active in the light settings menu?

Thanks for the replies, I will look later when it gets darker, but also check the "coming home" settings.

Thanks again.

Fairly sure they only come on when it thinks its dark.

Try tonight... lock the car, unlock the car and they come on.

I'm pretty sure they are linked to the interior lights, so come on when you unlock the car, open a door, or turn the ignition off and take the key out (or whatever the keyless equivalent is) You might not have noticed if you haven't been in it in the dark, but are your interior lights set to the 'door' position?
