To say I'm excited is an understatement lol.
I'm off work all next week so I'm hoping the stars will align and I'll be able to collect... fingers crossed

So we can share your excitement what is exactly the car that will be receiving?

My first was - “I bet that car is bloody fast ”
-
Haha, sorry would help!
GTi PP, DSG, Brescia's, Dynaudio, Pure white.
Initially ordered without Dynaudio, but then after hearing another forums members, i had to have it. Unfortunately the order was too far gone so i had to re-order... meh
But hopefully not too much longer now, ill give it a couple of days then phone the dealer to see if end of next week could be possible.
Fingers crossed

What car(s) you coming from?
You will not be disappointed, from our own knowledge and universal consensus the GTI is one of the best all around packages you can buy where do not have to sacrifice comfort for performance and vice versa

Coming from an Audi TT mk3, manual, 190. Never really warmed to the TT tho, think it was because it felt underpowered compared to the Scirocco i had previously.
Hoping to rectify that with the extra bhp of the golf, and this will be my first step into the DSG world so will need to learn how the power delivery and gear changes work.

Think you are in for a bit of a revolution as the chassis on the MK 7 is a significant uplift so think you are going to love the driving experience.
The DSG was something that really was not sure about it was a try it once punt that has now become my preferred choice as it takes all the strain out of the commutes and still gives you the option of picking the gear change with the paddles, and all is done ridiculously seamlessly - I tend to go manual when in Sport as think it holds onto gear a little too long, but that maybe just my preference
Also, the DSG is coupled up to the auto hold, another great piece of tech, that takes even more strain out of the commute
Be very surprised if you are not even more happier than you hoped, so let us all know your initial thoughts when receive

Will post some pics for sure!
Just out of interest, how many of you got a tank of petrol with yours? Is it worth being cheeky and asking on collection day?

I begrudgingly put half a tank in mine, and they would only put 95 in. OTR costs no longer include fuel, so they're under no obligation to include any, make sure you ask how much will be in it.
Having said that, it's only a 50litre tank, so it won't be a big saving and you'll want to get rid of the 95 ASAP and get some good juice in it.

I had to wait 6 months for mine due to the WLTP fiasco last year.
It stayed on stage 3 for an eternity and then stages 4 - 7 happened really quickly.
Picked it up 21/12 - best Christmas present ever and well worth the wait
-
Went to stage 7 yesterday!
Will give the dealer a call this morning, would be great if i can pick it up before the weekend
Excited much....
