anyone ideas about the ESP button on a Mk6 gti? Whats it meant to do? mine does nothing! No lights come on or anything! Ran Vagcom but no faults showing ( apart from air quality sensor ;) )

It works constantly behind the scenes. Wearing out your rear brakes without you even realising.

whats the point of the switch then? It doesnt seem to do anything! My old B5 Passat has one & a light comes on to warn you also same on my B5 RS4!

It depends on the age of the car. Later ones you could turn it off completely depending what country your from.
In the USA for example they did not include that option but it could be coded back in. APR show you how to do it. (Site says R but works for GTI 2012 models too)
