Title: Boy/girl Racer??

Hi
Just having a run up to Chesterfield yesterday on the M1, not exactly going slow!  Well I was doing 70 and a black GTI tore up alongside me and kept pacing me, he/she then pulled in front of my car and slowed down, thankfully the ACC on my car works well, they then kept braking until I pulled out to overtake he/she sped up.  A silly little game to play or showing off your GTI with my lowly GT?  I’m 56 I don’t do boy/girl racer and I seriously don’t care what car you drive, that’s individual choice.  Whoever you were and if you’re on here for the record it was around 2.30 yesterday please think about your driving and maybe grow up a bit too.

I do a lot of miles, esp motorway. The fastest drivers on the roads these days are young girls in Vauxhall Corsas.

What’s wrong with people? I spotted an S1 looming in my rear view mirror on Tuesday, next thing I know he/she appears to me trying to mount my GTI, I assume to goad me into a race . Normally I just ignore them and carry on but this time it enraged me as I had my little man in the back. Wish people would just think twice, not every one in a hot hatch wants to race.

100% agree. My Polo GTI seems to attract the McDonalds car park Fiesta ST fraternity, who seem to delight in egging me on to race with them. I don’t play those games and I’m much to old to start now! I just let them pass.

Probably the same one my missus caught on her dashcam racing an S3 going south past trowell services. She was doing 90 and they came past like she was stationary, must have been doing 140mph+.

I guess it's mostly an age thing.One day they'll finally realise that no one was impressed.That they were actually saying 'look at that twit!'.
