Post by: Hpoolsteve on 18 February 2019, 09:40
Hello all,

Im new to the whole GTI scene, I am currently searching for a nice MK7 i have a budget of about 16.5k. I came across this one on autotrader.

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201902014511810?fromSavedAds=true (https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201902014511810?fromSavedAds=true)

Whats your thoughts? My only stipulation is not red and has to have the dsg box

Thanks

That looks great...and Tungsten Silver is a great choice for the GTI and quite rare...!

Bonus on that one is it's got the Performance Pack but hasn't been listed as a PP.

Easiest way is the front brake calipers are different and have GTI logos on them and the rear discs will be vented.

All apart from the 2014 models will have chrome GTI badges with red inserts rather than the plain chrome ones.

As Gnasher said, the larger GTI front brake callipers was the give away unless the last owner fitted them which is unlikely.

check it has had all it's services at main dealers and it had a DSG service at 40k.

Also check it's not had loads of owners.

Do you want 19s? Bit harsher ride, more expenses tyres, but they do look nice.

Never heard of it.

Think the dealer has pinched it from an Audi brochure! All the stuff Audi had to charge for previously that VW had std for years.

Aah, Audi charge extra for everything don't they. So I assume it's headlights and a windscreen
