Anyone know if you can fit Miini 13" wheels to a Mark1?
I have this idea about fitting minilites or deep dish revolutions to my wife's cabriolet. I think that the mini PCD is 4"(only 1.6mm off 100) so wobbly bolts should do it but does anyone know if the mini centre hole is the same size as the Golf?
Cheers

to fit diffo wheels even with a 1.6mm difference in pcd is dangerous.... no matter what bolts you use the wheels still have a chance of working loose!!! =not good, not sure on center bore hole... i could possibly put you in touch with some one that has some minilite type wheels that would fit a mk1 golf proper.....

wobbly bolts heh? not sure that sounds a good idea!
according to this:

pcd and centre bore are a bit out

I know that wobbly bolts sound dodgy but all they are are bolts with a washer which floats slightly to allow the difference to be taken up. If they had been called "surefix supreme bolts" it might have inspired a bit more confidence They are used by the trade often to allow 4x100 wheels to be used on Fiats, Alfas and Lancias etc which are 4x98. On modern cars with bolts rather than studs it is the centre bore that is critical but even this can be changed by using different gauge fitment rings in after market wheels.
Kniterider - I would be interested in the minilites you know of if you could pm me details.
JV - see what you mean about the bore
Thanks for your responses guys

Yep they would fit on but you will prob have to modd the arches.
Do you recon 12x6 alloys will fit over my brakes?
