Title: Brake pipes

Anybody know if the brake pipes are imperial or metric size and what is the exact diameter, ie. 3/16" or 6 millimetres, etc. And are the sizes interchangeable or do they need to be exact?

A follow-up to my last post. I think they are 3/16". However, I have bought a metric flaring kit with a 5mm flare. There is not much difference between 3/16" and 5mm. Do you think I'll be able to use the 5mm flare or will I need to buy a metric flaring kit?
