that's as far as they got. couldn't of been very good theives as I would of just removed the door handle and opened the door and got an ear full of alarm. I'd removed the face off my kenwood MASK, but the TFT screen in the center console was on show  ::)

People like that need the screwdriver shoved up their arse and a kick in the knackers for good measure.

Glad to hear it was a bungled attempt rather than a succesful one - that God for the armoured door plates you have fitted.

I think anyone who deosn't have them fitted should see just what they saved you, and buy some!!!

I had an attempted break in to my Mk IV a few months ago, but they tried every door lock (including the boot) and the rear 1/4 windows - nearly ?3k of damage. Makes me laugh that these scummers still try and break into cars when they are clearly alarmed.

You have my sympathies buddy, hope repairs can be done at minimum cost and you are back on the road asap

How much are armour plates and where do you fit them to?

I'm knocking up a rear handle for the front right now. they didn't try the boot which isn't alarmed  ;)

you fit armoured plates where you can see mine. it's the phat bit of armour around the lock. stops screwdrivers going down there.

had my old car broken into last month - and they stole my MP3 autochanger.  :'(

It had only just been fitted like 5 days before!

The f?ckers sliced the rear quarter rubber in two with a blade - and pushed the glass (in one piece) into the car.

I have a Clifford Concept and it was parked in a real busy street on a friday evening and NOONE heard the alarm?

It pisses me off that I can't have a stereo in my car without the threat of it getting teafed - and that everyone ignores car alarms (and yes the alarm had gone off - the interior LED informed me that it had been triggered).

You'd think car thieves would recognise an armour plate when they see one (well it is their living after all) and realise shoving a screwdriver into the lock aint gonna get them anywhere!

always the case. I'm buying a dog to stay in there when I'm not. Best way I think. ;D

rear handle fitted now. no door locks either side. Gonna do the boot when I get round to it. I didn't want ?550 of Kenwood MP3 headunit going walkies within the first month of me fitting it! I'd taken the face off, but still they try. To remove that TFT that's in my centre console it'd have taken them a while. you have to remove the whole thing to get to it.

Still. twitS is all I can say!
