Title: G40 antifreeze in a 2014 gti
Post by: Rob_benton on 30 December 2018, 22:35
Hi

Sorry for all the questions but the car I’m buying had it’s water pump and thermostat replaced recently.

I’ve seen on the invoice the garage refilled with g40 antifreeze that I believe is g12++.

I think Vw recommend their latest version of antifreeze that’s G13 since 2012.

With some issues with the heater matrix getting clogged do you think I should replace with G13 ?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

I would be going with what VW recommend. Euro car parts sell it at a good price.

CarParts4less are much cheaper 99% of the time.

Yeah but I have ECP local to me so it's more convenient.
