Title: VW Gti Configurator offline?

Still loving my MK6 but thought I’d have a dabble with the online configurator to see what I could spec up a 7.5 with/price ..... only to find its (according to VW Press Office) temporarily off line.

What goes on // what am I missing?

The finance calculator for the R and gti has been down for a while too. Not sure if this is linked.

You haven't been able to configure a GTi or R for weeks now due to WLTP. As soon as that is sorted you'll be able to configure them again.

Also no OTR price listed on the most recent price list for GTI/R/GTD models. I've heard that orders won't be open till Dec/Jan because of the WLTP mess.

It's the new testing procedure for emissions and fuel consumption that new vehicles registered from 1st September 2018 must pass. It's supposed to be more thorough and give more real life figures than the old tests. Unfortunately VW didn't have their house in order and failed to prepare for it so now we're seeing the effects in huge delays.

You wonder just what is going on.  It’s a crazy situation and if it frustrates the hell out of us it sure is screwing VW and other manufacturers.

Looks like the good old Mark 6 will be here for some time yet.

The plot thickens. The gti pp isn’t listed on the app with dsg. Manual only. Have I missed something?
