still no luck, had a home tune man come and look at the car today, he plugged his box of tricks in and the only conclusion he could come up with was the lambard sensors "might " be shagged, he said the cars co's were about 10 times what they should be! the next stop is a garage with orignail VAG software unless anyone out there knows any different??? pleease???

vw diagnostics will cost you £60 a pop, not sure if its just cheaper to whack on a new lambda sensor and give it a try.

again though its still possibly your cat itself, when the oil was last changed did you notice if it was overfilled at all ?

nice one, i thought that, but the home tune dude told me that i could only get the right one for my car from vw at a hideous price - £120!! is this right or is he trying to have me over? and if so where can i get one cheaper, it is the bank 1 sensor that is playing up eg the one in the exhaust manifold before the cat.

yes my car went on to the "box of tricks" by a home tune guy.
I will get round to getting a new fuel pressure reg, my list of things to do on the car is getting sorter lol, but seriously give it a treatment of redex, I was worried about my car not passing the mot on emissions, because of the smell and the smoke but with the redex it passed with flying colours..
