my mate did me a deal on 4 continental all season contact tyres last weekend for less than £400
. we don't usually get much snow in Cheshire so im happy to try these
I know there not full winter tyres but they will suit me for what i need
did my usual trip into north wales on wed 90 miles round trip average mpg was 52 its usually around 44 - 46
they are definitly quieter than the bridgstones

Is it down hill both ways? :undecided:
Is that mpg calculated brim-to-brim or just what the computer says?
Are you sure you are not driving a GTD?
By my calculations you are getting well over 500 miles from a tank. That is almost as good as my old GTD.
The most I have managed from a full tank of fuel is 430miles. It took 55 litres to fill the tank again. The owners manual says it is a 50L tank. That's almost 36mpg.
All my brim-to-brim calculations show my GTI PP only does 35-36 mpg. :undecided: What am I doing wrong?
