Title: Cam Belt
Post by: Bluesim on 10 October 2005, 15:22
I have read somewhere in the Mk 4 forum what you should get changed while getting the cam belt done, but I can't find it.

I think it was belt, tensioner & water pump.....is there some thing I am missing?

Cheers you don't know the engine type for the 2.0 8v or are the parts the same as the 1.8?

BTW - I love your "smack it... go on, you know you want to"

not sure on the engine parts required for the 2.0... :undecided: :undecided:

not sure on the spec of the 2.0 engine, ive done 8v gti's before and if the engine is similar to that in the mk2's they will have a external water pump, which is prob worth changing anyways but not essential as its accesible unlike the 20v engines, and im pretty sure youll just need the cambelt and the tensior no other rollers etc, but dont quote me on that!! and part numbers will be different as you need the correct bits for your car!!
