White dials wouldn't work cos its the numbers that are glowing, the picture doesn't really show it that well.

As for the clock, i've had a good look at it and from what i can make out i think its the actual circit board that makes it green, i tried a blue bulb in it but it just went really dull, i doesn't stand out half as much in real life though and does fit in quite well.

I reckon it's a green film that goes over the front of the display that makes it go green... ;)

Well thats that then the green film must go, so do i have to take the clock apart to get to the film?

yeah kind of, when you have the clocks out near where the bulbs screw in you will see where the top meets the clock body there are some plastic tyrpe welds, just pry the two parts apart and the top will pop off, now just take the green film out! its hard to discribe but i hope you get the idea!

Er... Don't you have to put some kinda stuff back in where the green one was? I thought it acted like a kinda diffuser for the light? It's ages since I pulled apart my mk2 clocks though... ;)

Believe it or not i know exactly what you mean, i was going to break those bits off but wasn't sure how i'd get it back together again? so did you glue it or something?

Cool i'll have a go at that when i swap them over, so is it the same kind of film they put along the top?

p.s. that film makes an excellent diffuser for the interior light, just cut off a nice sized piece and pop it into the lamp holder infront of the bulb
