Title: Golf gti mk7 top windscreen rubber
Post by: zxrmatt on 10 September 2018, 07:57
Hi

I'm hoping someone may be able to help me. Over the weekend we have been to look at a white 220 gti, but there's one thing I noticed that I'm not sure about.

At the top of the windscreen there is no rubber visible, you can just see paint in the gap between top of screen and where root starts , as per this pic (although this is a pans roof, but one I viewed isn't)

Should there be a rubber is here? Could anyone check their car to advise if you have one or not please?

Etka shows a part 5g0845132 but when I put in the bin doesn't show as a part for he white gti?

Any ad vide appreciated as going to view again on Wednesday

Thanks

Yes modern cars have bonded glass not rubbers...

Thanks for the replies.

Our current Golf and A4 both have bonded screens but had a small rubber insert that sits in the "gutter" part at top of screen, hence why i thought the Mk7 might have one missing (perhaps after a screen change), but appreciate the quick responses
