Title: OBD11 Coding New Battery
Post by: naxcars on 29 August 2018, 00:23
May have to purchase a new battery and was looking at my options whether to buy from the net or direct from dealer. Does anyone have OBD local to NG31 postcode to re code a new battery if i were to buy from the net?

you won't have to recode for a battery!

Won’t have to, but it’s better if you do so the car changes the way it charges it from old to new

Isn't it advisable to recode because of the stop/start system?

If it goes completely flat you have to re-sync it with the car but details are in the manual.

You only need to code a fob if it's a replacement one and never been used with the car. The dealer needs to be involved for that.

Yes as the car changes the way it charges depending on how old/capacity it is, and also there’s different battery technologies now too
