Morning all - hope everyone had a good weekend
2 questions:
1) Whats the name for this paint code - LA6U
2) Just had my door resprayed; really pleased EXCEPT there's dust particles all over my windscreen and windows and I can't seem to shift them. Washed the car yesterday, tried Autogly Fastglass and Glass polish to no avail  My old man has suggested newspaper and vingegar. Is he talking sense or is it time to put him in the old folks home???
Cheers
Rhys

cant help on the paint code, but me nan always says that newspaper and vinegar is best for cleanin glass....... never tried it as autoglym glass polish has always shifted most stuff. if its a fine mist of over spray on your glass then try using thinners it will hopefully break the paint/laquer down and move it.

cheers mate
look like you saved my old man from the old folks home....for now
-
Check here for your paint code - http://www.paintscratch.com/
I've also heard about the newspaper and vinegar combo but never used it myself. Try the thinners first as gaz says for getting the spray off or if you are really careful get a stanley knife blade and slowly chisel pick it off.

ooooo
Capri Green Metallic Clearcoat
is the colour of me car. Didn't like it when i first got the car but it's kind of grown on me. Plus I haven't seen many of them about!!
Has anyone else seen many of this colour?? I'll stick a picture of it up later but it won't be until after work
-
j_s has a capri green. i reccommend an angle grinder to get rid of the dust!!! :P
-
I always use newspaper to do my glass now, it works a treat
-
you need some clay bar mate thats what its designed for !,
but then again newspaper and vinegar will be cheaper!, (if not a bit jack and jill )
-
get yourself a brand new stanley blade and in conjuction with any glass cleaner simply scrape it off!its really easy and you get rid of all those old bugs that have welded themselve to the screen!
-
if its over spray on the windows you can buy specific stuff to remove it.
most good quality paint suppliers should stock one brand or another, vineager and n paper is good for cleaning the windows but i think it will remove over spray, not bad for after though
will also get all the tiny flecks that you cant see and will miss with a blade

cheers for all the tips people!!
Unfortunately the Welsh weather has put on hold trying them out
I'm hoping it might brigten up.......but it sooooo dark at the moment I don't think it's gonna happen :undecided:
-
Petrol or white spirit on a rag should also work.

maybe tar and glue would do the same?
