Just interested in everyone's colour choice, any comments or pictures would be great!
Personally i prefer the white silver metallic but I haven't seen it in person yet. Looks amazing in pictures imo.
-
Pure white for me...

Pure white definitely for me.
White silver looks good under showroom lights but they are very deceptive as in the daylight it’s a very dirty white.
-
Pure white for me too!!

White is nice. Needs a very good Sealant on and regular washing or will show contamination and rust spots. And they are both Clubsports which are different!
Tungsten is a great colour

As is Indium Grey

Can’t got wrong with Tornado Red as well 👍🏼

Tungsten for me too 👍

Tungsten

Wouldn't "what colour is your's?" have been a more appropriate title
Obviously then I'm going TR. Haven't we had a similar pole afew months back? I'm pretty sure I voted red that time too

Are you saying we can't vote Jim!? ;-)
The tungsten looks really nice actually and dare I say it, the standard Parker wheels are growing on me!

Of course not! I just meant the OP is getting a 7.5 so might want to see pics of facelift ones! For me, the CS looks so good in any colour as it's so much more aggressive.
-
Kind of swaying towards the pure white now. Pics look amazing and i have been hearing a lot the white silver metallic only looks good under lighting in a show room. Can look a dull grey when outside.
Really liking the indium grey too, anyone have some more pics of their own indium grey cars?

FWIW I liked White Silver on the web, but then I saw it in the metal - oh dear. Looks like undercoat in anything bar bright sunshine, IMO. I have a red GTI, so of course prefer that colour. Followed by Tungsten Silver. White is nice, too - especially Oryx.

Have you looked on VW’s website in the used cars section? Loads of GTI’s in pretty much all the available colours and usually 7-8 or more pictures of each car. You can set the filters in the advanced search facility to narrow down the results to specific models and colours.

You did a cracking job on it Jim!!
After having 2 pure white GTIs and a candy white GT TDI back in the day, I think I might have a thing for white cars!
I think the metallic colours always looks great but I do still like how the details stand out against the white.
DaBaws I did love my 7.5 GTI but I decided rather than make it look like a Clubsport at great expense, I would actually get a 2nd hand Clubsport!
-
Deep Black Pearl!
It's a stinker to keep clean, and shows every minor scratch, but I love it and wouldn't change it now. I did original go with the intention of buying pure white, but there weren't any in the channel, and I got a really good deal on my car.
I'm also in that minority group that love the Parker Wheels  I think there are about two of us in total.

Should the OP not want to wait for enough results, there were 101 votes cast last time....

Though no White Silver.
-
I checked out most/ all of the available colours at a couple of VW dealers. Eliminated the 'don't like thats' and arrived at no. 1 Indium Grey and 2. Pearl Deep Black.
Unfortunately, I could not find No.1 choice in the specification I wanted - so went for the Pearl Deep Black - good choice and absolutely chuffed with it!
-
I must be in a minority of one liking both Black Ruby and the Parkers......unfortunately/fortunately* I think the Black Ruby has been discontinued.
(*delete as appropriate)

Yes Brown Rubin as discontinued, Pure White is now the free colour.
-
"Purple Nasty" was really unpopular. In fact, I've only ever seen one on the road.
I always thought it was VW's attempt to suck more money out of people - I certainly spent money not to have it.
Swapping to white as the free colour might sting them though - seems Pure White is the most popular now.
Anyway, the poll results bear this out.
-
White silver for me don't have a PP thought :-(

Had a white and a Carbon Steel Grey MK7 GTD's and both looked great (if I'm honest I think I preferred the Carbon Steel Grey). Only trouble with both is that they showed the dirt and marks very easily.
I now have an Indium Grey GTI, and I don't know what it is about that colour, but it seems to look like it stays cleaner (at least from distance) much more than the other two, and as it's a much lighter grey, doesn't show paint defects like swirling and hologramming any where near as much as the Carbon Steel Grey.
-
Had 2 white Gti’s, one being an edition 35 which was my favourite. 1 red mk7 pp, 1 Mk6 in carbon grey and a mk5 in blue graphite. Now that was nice! Didn’t see many in that colour though.
-

Isaac Blue on the GTI/GTD is similar to Blue Graphite.
-
Absolutely. After seeing Isaac blue at my local dealers I thought it looked really good. V similar to blue graphite. It’s probably a colour you have to see in the flesh to appreciate it.

Looks great in the sunshine
Second best colour after Tungsten

Hey, somebody else besides me likes Ruby Black..... or maybe it was a sympathy vote..... Neck and neck with Oryx White and Tungsten Silver and hunting down Deep Black.

Yeah its was a sympathy vote!!! Sorry to get your hopes up. I've only seen 1 GTI in that colour and wasn't impressed!
-
pure white any given day... don't know about the UK but any shade or form of black down here means glossy for a day, dusty until the next wash...

Maybe we could have a poll for least favourite colour and see what happens
-
Can't beat Oryx.... Not sure it should be so much more than the other shades though (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180803/7c802887f1e2c6e212b43afec5b354d0.jpg)

But that's what makes it so exclusive!

Seem to recall there’s an extra stage in the painting process with Oryx White so VW would say the extra stage is justification for the increased cost.
After the body shell has received its primer coat, Oryx White is created by applying a pearlescent coat to a Pure White base colour coat, followed by a clear coat. For all other colours (solid, metallic or pearlescent) after primer, the painting process is base colour coat then clear coat.
Still on paint colour, saw a Ruby Black GTI today. IMO it’s really not a nice colour .
-
As much as I do prefer the Oryx White, i'm really not convinced it's worth a grand more than Pure White.
-
My mate had a oryx white gti which he bought solely on my testdrive as it was at a dealers near me. I didn’t even know it was oryx until the sun came out a few months later as it was sat on his drive! Looked great then.
-
Red, white or black, all look nice.
I wanted one in red simply because I have a thing for red cars but ended up getting one in black. Beggers can't be choosers when buying used.
