The standard GTI tips just a tad small for my likiing. Is their anyone in the UK that supplys BMS slip on tips?
They're $99 on there website, but $60 shipping plus import taxes will make them a bit too pricey.
Any alternatives out their without cutting and welding new tips on?

The tips are part of the exhaust aren't they? If you want to take them off you'll need to cut them off.

These guys sell the slightly different style BMS ones - https://www.mlperformance.co.uk/products/bms-vw-gti-billet-exhaust-tips-mk6-mk7?variant=47845710292
They are $139 from Burger in the USA (http://www.burgertuning.com/billet_exhaust_tips_for_VW_GTI.html)
They also sell the style of ones you linked but for BMWs, so they be able to source the VW ones for cheaper, might be worth speaking to them

These look the same as the mk7 GTI tips on the BMS website, might give them an email to confirm. £123 plus free postage is not as bad as buy direct from USA

BMS tips are designed to slip on over existing GTI tips. Not a bad idea really.

They need to be some size to fit on the existing ones

Funny I've been researching these myself. The only thing that puts me off is removing them is likely to leave big scratches on the original tips. A small factor since they might never be removed...
-
I'd be more worried that a slip on would trap water and rot the underlying OEM part.

A very good point!

Can confirm these are the same as listed on the BMS website, I just received my gloss black tips last week and they fit and look perfect. Not really fussed about scratching the OEM tip underneath as I don't plan to remove them, and when I do it'll be for a new catback etc anyway.

Can you post a few pics please, I'm not sure whether to get black or chrome...

I'll take some pics tomorrow. Went for black as it looks more 'stealthy', and also because I figure I'll spend less time cleaning them, and the OEM is chrome/stainless steel anyway so it's different :-)

Yeah I wasn't 100% sure about them before fitting them, I thought with them being black they might blend in too much and become 'invisible', but I'm pretty pleased with how they look, and a fraction of the price of weld-on tips etc.

Did they slip on ok? No scratching of original pipe?

I followed some advice I think from the golfmk7 forum, and opened up the 'prongs' (I'm sure there's a word for them) inside a little, otherwise it is very snug. It's very secure, only minimal force needed to push them on, but also not too tight so they can be rotated once they're on to make sure the bevelled end is pointing the right way, Any scratching would probably happen on removal, due to the direction the springy prongs inside point, but I haven't taken them off so I don't know yet!

The tips look superb.
I’d have loved to have had these when I had my 2013 PP

Bit of a daft question but is the sound from them the same?

Haha, I'd like to think there was a more throaty roar from them, but the sound is of course exactly the same.
