Title: Sloppy Gear lever

Hi Can anyone help ..My gear lever has gone very sloppy and my mechanic said go to the dealer and tell him when you look under the car towards the back of the engine where the rods and things are there is a plate with a hole in it and the rubber bush has disintegrated
Anyone know what i should ask for
any help appreciated ..Barry

New bushing just like you said also check that the plastic ball linkage is ok you can check from the engine bay as that would also make it feel slopy
