Hi all
Thought I could live with the Parker alloys, but I can't.
Considering the 18'' VW Racingline Cup Edition alloys, anyone any experience of same.
Local supplier states they are order part and will take 4 -6 weeks but are straight swop for original VW wheels.
Have searched site but cannot find anything on them which surprised me. (That being said I'm and older guy who never can find anything through searches.)
They will be going onto Tornado Red car so visually should be ok.

The 18" are essentially Pro Race 1.2s built to Racingline spec so:
No Team Dynamics on rim
Correct centre bore so no spigots
Satin anthracite finish
You can run stock VW centres
I ran these on a Scirocco back in 2010 when everyone was going for 19" rotiforms.
I would also look at Neuspeed options for 18" wheels as very them
I ran 18 black team dynamics on my car but think the car needs to be lowered to carry them off

£922 a rim! They look really good but I just can’t get over that price.

I got a set of the Team Dynamics 1.2 multispokes in 17" WITH the correct machined centre Bore....just they couldn't do it for the PR3 Five spokes...which I run for winter..

Haha! I was thinking that the OP must be nuts to pay that! It seems so obvious now

Kalimon
Yes, those are the ones although I am not getting them from Awesomegti, I would order them via a dealership in Glasgow who deals with VW Racingline.

Lovely wheels

I’d just get a set of 18” black Prets off eBay vw dealer for £995. Really considering them for my new one

I knew I couldn’t live with the standard 18” wheels on my GTi so they came off within the first 200km of getting the car last November; winter wheels with AW tyres went on. They have not gone back on and won’t!
At the start of May I ordered a set of VWR RacingLine Cup Edition 18” wheels from the U.K. importer thinking they’d be in stock but have been told that they’re waiting on VWR to get a stock of them. I was told it would be a month so fingers crossed they turn up soon. I’ll stick up some photos when I get them.
Compared to the 18” Pretorias option mentioned by Jim, these will be lighter and should be a lot stronger.
I considered a set of TD rims but it wasn’t clear where to order these from without team dynamics graphics and with the VW standard 57.1mm bore and VW centre cap compatibility.
Neuspeed are another option but more expensive then VWR in the U.K.

Morning. Those peeps running 18 x 8 or 18 x 8.5, what size tyres are you running?
Do we have a wheels hall of fame anywhere?
Thanks in advance.
