Title: Day time running lights

Hi guys
I have notices on the headlights there is what looks like two led strips, one obviously lights up for led daytime runners but cant fathem what the inner led lights do both are on the main head light cluster, can i get them both on?

On the Golf R, both light up, but with the GTI and GTD only the outer ones light up. May be possible to activate, but I don't know.

I did notice the R has them both illuminated looked rather good surly there is a way of doing it

There isn’t. They are dummy reflectors that aren’t wired up to anything. You’d have to swap out the entire cluster, either for R units or aftermarket.

On the facelift (mk7.5) both drl bars illuminate (led headlamps). On the pre-facelift cars (xenon headlamps), they don't unless you have the 'R' model.

Both light up on my facelift GTI

They are not the Double U though they are the same as the TT lights have with ticks.
