Title: Urano Grey

Received newsletter from Utlimate Finish the other day and a Golf R in the above colour was being pampered

Will be looking to switch to GTI PP or R in August - Urano Grey is not in the colour palette on the configurator - is it a dealer request and any ideas cost?

Is that even Urano Grey, as I've checked online and Urano is a much darker grey.

That is a similar lighter grey that the likes of the Focus and Fiesta ST series have available (non metallic). It's not even listed on the VW Germany website (and that lists all the optional colours that we don't get), so not sure how that one was delivered if it was UK supplied ?

Urano Grey is the standard, no cost colour on non-performance Golf models (S, SE, GT, R-Line and e-Golf) and you can configure a non performance Golf in this colour. It’s not available on the Golf R.

I have to say I like the colour of the grey R in the video, but IMO, the colour looks too light to be Urano Grey. Here’s a Urano Grey Golf, which is much darker - and I don’t like the colour of this one;

Yes. deffo Nardo Grey, although I can't see it anywhere on either VW UK's site or indeed in the fatherland ?

As the Nardo Grey R in the YouTube video is at a Dutch dealer and the magazine item is in a Dutch language edition of Top Gear, perhaps it’s special/custom order colour that’s only available in some countries and the Netherlands is one of those countries? If it’s available as a special order in the Netherlands though, you’d have thought it’d also be available in the ‘fatherland’.
