Title: Heatshot OD - Heated washer system
Post by: Reptile47 on 27 March 2018, 09:41
Hi guys! I was given one of these http://www.heatshot.com/uk/ (http://www.heatshot.com/uk/) and I was thinking of giving it a try... Has anyone installed them on an mk7? I had a quick look under the bonnet and I'm struggling to find a suitable place...

The winter pack has heated washer jets... if you have a recent Mk7 or any Mk7.5 you have the winter pack included.

I have a 2015 model and unfortunately, the winter pack is not included...

Not for me, especially not at £250.

I'd say a neater and better solution is to install the OEM heated washer jets from the likes of Kufatec - https://www.kufatec.co.uk/shop/en/volkswagen/golf/golf-7-5q/complete-set-heated-windscreen-washer-nozzles-vw1 (https://www.kufatec.co.uk/shop/en/volkswagen/golf/golf-7-5q/complete-set-heated-windscreen-washer-nozzles-vw1)

The cheapest solution is to ensure you have the right screenwash mix to prevent the water freezing in the first place

100% as above plus the nozzles are not the problem, it is the washer bottle and hoses buried in the wing of the car. If either freeze you could have the most expensive washer jets and they won't do anything with no water feed.
