Title: 2015 Gtd question
Post by: bobbyboucher on 25 March 2018, 23:49
Today i was out and about and it was warmish for the time of year. Went for a drive across Cardiff which was about 10 miles.
My aircon was off and i kept feeling warm. Turns out it was coming through the air vent, but the air con was off.
Is this a fault or a characteristic of the car?

You'll still get some amount of warm air coming through the vents from the heat generated in the engine bay.

Yes, just leave the auto aircon on...

Cheers lads.
It was boiling and was not even that hot outside. Auto climate it is then :)

Really no reason not to. It keeps you nice and cool/warm and better still its the best way of keeping your car dry inside and the aircon in tip-top condition.

Switch it off and all sorts of things can go wrong over time...

And for what benefit? Its not like it used to be where aircon sucked 25% of your engine power!
