Hi got a few questions about my new gtd I picked duo yesterday :lipsrsealed:
1. If I have the side lights on even tho it’s not dark enough for the dipped beam I get a permanent message between the dials saying ‘switch on dipped beam’. Anyway to remove this ?
2. Front parking sensors . Do they activate automatically without going in to reverse first or pressing the button? I’ve seen it pop on on the left hand side of the infotainment display but there’s no beeps just a small visual graphic . However if I’ve gone from R to 1st they beep
3. Radio . Seem to get poor reception in fm and dab . Used to have no problems with my pervious A3 in the same areas

1: yes with obdeleven or vcds
2: mine only seems to beep when they get close to something (think it’s the yellow before the red) maybe something to do with traffic and yes after reverse they beep straight away

1. Just leave the lights in auto and forget about them?

This is what I do with mine. Other than if it goes to the dealers, or if you need to switch on fogs, I can't think of any reason to touch the light switch. Presumably the warning is there so you don't forget to turn on dipped beam in changing light conditions. No idea why it would be there in broad daylight, but auto lights will come on long before it goes dark.

1. Just use auto and forget it - why do you care? Alternatively if you persist with your retro ways, go into the car setup, under lighting, set the light up detection to "late" - its probably on early. That will mean its darker before it starts nagging. But seriously, leave the lights on auto and set the lighting to "early" and you'll live longer...
2. Yes, unless you've turned it off in the menus, it comes on automatically. It also comes on if anything gets close while driving. You can change all of this behaviour in the setup menu under "parking and manoeuvring"
3. Really? Mine has had the best reception of any car I've had actually...

Thanks for your replies. Re: radio reception- I think it maybe my dash cam causing interference :undecided:

1) it is never too bright for low beam.
2) there is a setting to turn auto front sensors on. Think it is- car, settings, park assist, then at the top you should see auto parking sensors or some Think like that.
