Title: speaker sizes

what size are the speakers in the dash of a mk3? I've just bought some alpine 5 1/4" ones and if I put a mk3 dash in my mk2 and use the door cards off the mk3 too I won't be able to fit the new speakers in the door holes so maybe the dash mounting positions?
